This Growth Play shows how to use Intempt to listen for the right conversations, generate on-voice drafts, keep a human in the loop, and turn Reddit coverage into durable AI-SEO benefits that bring ideal customer profile (ICP) traffic long after the day you post.
TL;DR
Connect a Reddit social-listening source and stream posts into Intempt.
Enrich each post with a Research Agent and score reply priority.
Generate 2–3 reply angles and one short draft in your persona.
Notify your team with the draft and context for a quick human post.
Track traffic and signups with UTM links and source analytics, then iterate on angles and keywords.
Benefits
Show up where your ICP asks questions and capture intent early.
Earn compounding SEO/AI-SEO: Reddit threads can rank and feed Google/LLM answers.
Drive qualified traffic that converts better than generic social.
Save hours: listening, research, and draft creation automate the grind; you just approve and post.
How It Works
Step 1: Connect sources and track events
Integrate a social-listening tool that monitors Reddit mentions. Configure your keywords, competitor names, brand terms, negative keywords, and the subreddits you care about. Intempt uses tools like OG tool or Octolens for this.
Connect the webhook from the listener to Intempt so every qualified post arrives with basic details such as URL, title, subreddit, author, and engagement. Once connected, posts generate events in Intempt for each Reddit mention.

Step 2: Create a Research Agent to enrich
Set up a Research Agent in Intempt to analyze each incoming Reddit post and author. Inputs include the post URL, title, and username. The agent can then produce a research brief with:
What the author is asking.
The author's pains and desired outcomes.
Any triggers, inferred role/company size, and topic category (e.g., lead routing, CRM, analytics).
Two or three reply angles that would feel native in that subreddit.
The Research Agent uses an LLM to read the thread, extract these insights, infer author context, and propose subreddit-native angles.

Best practice: Treat each subreddit as its own market — culture, tone, and rules differ. Avoid reusing the same messaging across subreddits. Warm up accounts by earning some baseline karma before posting, and avoid automated behaviors that look unnatural.
Step 3: Create a snippet to generate a reply in your persona
Create a Snippet in Intempt that takes the Research Brief and generates a short Reddit-ready reply in your persona. Use the Brand Kit or a prompt to add your brand voice. The Snippet uses an LLM to turn the brief into a Reddit-native reply voiced in your brand style.

Tip: Aim for two or three short paragraphs with a practical step, a light contrast on how you approach the problem, and a soft offer to share a checklist if it's useful. Keep links off by default and enable a disclosure line when appropriate.
Step 4: Notify humans and post with context
Build a Journey that triggers when each Reddit mention arrives. In that Journey:
Run the Research Agent.
Run the Snippet to generate the draft reply.
Send a Slack message or email containing the thread title, author, link, research brief, reply angles, and recommended draft.

You can also create a small task so that someone owns posting and monitoring replies.
Step 5: Measure and tighten the loop
Evaluate performance by analyzing traffic (with Intempt, Google Analytics, or UTM tracking). Also track engagement on Reddit (upvotes, comments, saves). Maintain a lightweight tracker of threads that start ranking in Google or appear in LLM answer results. Promote high-performing angles and subreddits; retire those that don't deliver. Refresh your subreddit map and keyword list quarterly as patterns shift.
Bonus: Reddit Promotion Checklist for SaaS
Warm up your account by earning at least 10 karma with genuinely helpful comments — avoid self-promotion at first.
Find the right subreddits using curated lists and by checking where competitors are already mentioned.
Spot relevant posts by prioritizing recent, high-engagement threads — skip spammy, low-quality, or obvious competitor promos.
Comment the right way: add value first, mention your product only when it naturally fits, keep links out unless asked, and balance product mentions with pure advice.
Track results with focused short sprints (e.g., three days), pause to isolate impact, and compare subreddits — double down on what works.
