Onboarding with Blu (Brand Persona Generation)

In the Intempt mobile app, Blu turns four short answers about your business into a selling style, generated buyer personas, and a matching outreach methodology.

Overview

After you set up your organization and review your Brand Intel in the Intempt mobile app, Blu can build out a full sales-ready profile: the selling style it should use in outreach, a set of generated buyer personas, and an outreach methodology matched to both. The setup runs across seven screens in order: Seller Persona, four Brand Profile questions, Buyer Persona, and a final Methodology screen.

How it works

Choosing your Seller Persona

The Seller Persona screen shows a grid of selling styles Blu can use when it writes outreach on your behalf. Selecting one shows its description and a sample signature phrase before you confirm.

📘 Good to know

Continuing on this screen saves your selected style to your account settings, not just to this setup session, so it's the style Blu keeps using in outreach afterward.

Answering the four Brand Profile questions

Blu asks four questions, one per screen, each with a text field and a speech-bubble prompt:

StepQuestionSpeech bubble
1Who is your target audience?Tell me about your audience
2Tell us about your brand and USPDescribe your brand
3What do you offer and results? What do you offer?
4What is your competitive landscape?Who are your competitors?

Each answer needs at least 50 characters before Next unlocks. The button on the fourth question reads View Generated Personas instead of Next, since submitting it is what sends your four answers to Blu for persona generation.

Reviewing your Buyer Personas

The Buyer Persona screen shows the personas Blu generated from your four answers as a list of cards. Tapping a card expands its key pain points and motivations. The screen also displays a note that these personas will automatically refine based on your real Accounts and Users once you connect your email.

If generation comes back empty or fails, the screen shows a Try again action instead of leaving you stuck. Pick a persona and tap Continue with [persona name] to move on.

Meeting your methodology

The final screen, Meet Your Agent Blu, combines your selling style and chosen buyer persona into a recommended outreach methodology: its core idea, who it's best for, its framework components, and a 5-email sequence. Each email in the sequence has a subject line, a structure, and a Why this works explanation you can open. A tab panel lists every other available methodology, so you can review and switch before continuing.

Continuing here takes you to connecting your inbox (Gmail or Microsoft), which is what Blu uses to start generating personalized outreach.

Getting started

  1. On Seller Persona, pick the selling style you want Blu to use, then tap Continue with [style name].
  2. Answer the four Brand Profile questions: your target audience, your brand and USP, what you offer, and your competitive landscape. Each needs at least 50 characters before Next unlocks.
  3. On the fourth question, tap View Generated Personas to send your answers to Blu.
  4. On Buyer Persona, tap a card to expand it, pick the persona you want Blu to target, then tap Continue with [persona name].
  5. On Meet Your Agent Blu, review the recommended methodology, or switch tabs to see the other available methodologies.
  6. Tap Continue with [methodology name] to move on to connecting your inbox.

Use cases

  1. A generated persona list fails to load. The Buyer Persona screen shows a Try again action instead of leaving you on a blank screen.
  2. A style or persona list looks stale. Pull down to refresh the Seller Persona or Buyer Persona list without leaving the screen.
  3. Writing a thin answer. Each Brand Profile question requires at least 50 characters before Next unlocks, so Blu has enough detail to generate from.
  4. Going back to fix an earlier answer. Moving back to a previous Brand Profile question keeps what you already typed on the other questions.
  5. Reviewing a methodology Blu didn't recommend. The Methodology screen's tab panel lists every available methodology, not just the recommended one, before you continue.
  6. Understanding why an email works. Each email in the generated sequence has a Why this works explanation you can open instead of taking the template on faith.
  7. Changing your selling style later. Continuing on Seller Persona saves the choice to your account settings, so it carries over beyond this one setup session.
