Enrichment

Overview

Enrichment automatically fills in and updates details on a user or account using People Data Labs, an external data provider Intempt contracts on your behalf. It takes what you already have — a name, email address, phone number or company domain — and returns verified, enriched information.

Depending on whether you are enriching Users or Accounts , the process can:

• For Users : Add or update details like full name, job title, company, social media profiles, location, and other demographic or professional attributes.

• For Accounts : Add or update company name, industry, size, location, domain, and other firmographic details.

By leveraging this enrichment process, you can fill in missing data, correct outdated fields, and create new attributes for a more complete and accurate view of your customers.
This enables better segmentation, personalization, and targeting across your Journeys and campaigns — without requiring manual data entry or multiple external integrations.

Data sources

People Data Labs covers professional and demographic data. It matches your input — email, name, company, LinkedIn, phone or location — and returns:

• Phone numbers

• Job titles and employment details

• Social profiles and education history

• Company name, domain, industry, size and location on the account side

When you run enrichment, Intempt sends the profile attributes you already have to the provider, and merges what comes back into your user or account profile. You do not hold a contract or an API key with the provider; lookups are metered on your Intempt bill.

How to use

To enrich user or account data:

1. Navigate to the Users or Accounts section.

2. Select one or more records you want to enrich.

3. Click the Enrich button at the top of the table.

Intempt sends the selected records to the provider for enrichment. Once the process is complete, the updated details will appear in the user or account profile page, along with the Last enriched date.

Use enrichment inside Journeys

You can also trigger enrichment automatically within Journeys to keep your user and account data up to date in real time.

To do this:

1. Open or create a Journey.

2. Add an Enrichment action at the desired step in the workflow.

3. Save and activate the Journey.

When a user or account enters this step, Intempt will automatically send their existing attributes (e.g., name, email, phone, or domain) to the data provider. The enriched or verified data will be merged back into the profile and made available immediately for segmentation, sending emails, or personalization in subsequent Journey steps.
