Usage & Billing
How Intempt bills your organization: per-seat plans, included AI credits, and usage-based meters for events, experiences, recommendations, and sends.
Overview
Every Intempt bill has three parts:
- A seat price, set by your plan tier (Free, Pro, Organization, or Enterprise).
- AI credits, included with every seat and spent on AI operations (Blu chat, content generation, transcription, enrichment, and more).
- Usage-based meters, billed on top of your plan for volume that exceeds your free monthly inclusion (events, identified events, experience and recommendation impressions, and email/SMS/push sends).
One plan structure applies across every Intempt product: Data, Analytics, Design, Marketing, and Sales. There's no separate pricing model per product.
📘 Good to know
There's no dedicated billing management screen in the product yet. This article is the current reference for how your plan, credits, and usage-based charges work. For a live view of your organization's own subscription revenue metrics (a different thing, see below), use the Subscription board under Analytics.
Billing cycles
| Cycle | How it works |
|---|---|
| Monthly | Billed once per month for your seat count on that plan's monthly rate. |
| Annual | Prepay 12 months at a lower per-seat rate. AI credits are still granted monthly, not all at once. |
Upgrades take effect immediately and the price difference is prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, you keep paid features until then.
Plans
Current prices for every plan, monthly and annual, are on intempt.com/pricing.
| Plan | Seats | AI credits |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Up to 3 seats, 1 project | 15/week per seat + 75 one-time signup bonus |
| Pro | Unlimited | 250/seat/mo |
| Organization | Unlimited | 500/seat/mo |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | 1,000/seat/mo |
Enterprise is a fixed per-seat price, not a custom quote. You pay for SSO, SCIM, and compliance features, not for being on a negotiated contract.

AI credits
Credits are the unit of AI resource consumption: Blu chat turns, content generation, transcription, image and video generation, and data enrichment lookups. Every seat includes a monthly (or, on Free, weekly) credit allocation.
Credit pools and expiry
Credits live in four pools: Bonus, Monthly, AI Pass, and Top-Up. They're spent soonest-expiring first, so the perishable ones burn before the durable ones.
Only Top-Up credits carry over. Monthly, AI Pass, and the Free weekly bonus are use-it-or-lose-it. See Credits & expiration for the full expiry table, the spend order, the Free plan's 12-month grant limit, and how mid-cycle plan changes are handled.
All plans, including Free, run the same AI pipeline. Credit quantity is the only gate, there are no premium-only models or operations reserved for paid tiers.
AI Pass (optional add-on)
AI Pass is a credit subscription that stacks on top of any plan's included credits.
| Tier | Credits/mo |
|---|---|
| XS | 500 |
| S | 1,000 |
| M | 2,500 |
| L | 5,000 |
| XL | 10,000 |
Monthly and annual prices for each tier are on intempt.com/pricing.
Top-up packs
One-time, non-recurring credit purchases.
Packs come in 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 credits. Prices are on intempt.com/pricing.
What credits buy
Credit cost varies by operation complexity (the model used and how much it processes), so these are representative costs for common tasks, not fixed line-item prices:
| Task | Credits |
|---|---|
| Validate an email address | 1 |
| Generate a product image | 2 |
| Draft an SMS or Slack reply | 5 |
| Summarize a document | 5 |
| Ask an agent to write copy or analyze data | 10 |
| Generate a meeting summary | 10 |
| Create a 5-second video | 10 |
| Build a full journey or page | 15 |
| Transcribe a 30-minute meeting | 30 |
| Build a full HTML email campaign | 40 |
Usage-based sends and volume
Beyond your plan's free monthly inclusion, these meters are billed per 1,000 units at a graduated (bracket) rate, the rate per unit drops as volume grows.
| Meter | Free inclusion (per month, all plans) |
|---|---|
| Experience impressions | 1K |
| Recommendation impressions | 1K |
| Email sends | 10K |
| SMS sends | 1K (Twilio carrier cost billed separately) |
| Push + in-app sends | 1K |
The rate for every meter, and how it drops with volume, is on intempt.com/pricing.
Usage meters are billed monthly in arrears, on top of your seat price, regardless of plan tier.
Events and identified events
Events are billed on two meters of their own, one per source type:
| Meter | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Identified events | Events sent in the month from Users and events sources, which build user profiles |
| Events | Events sent in the month from Events only sources, which keep raw events without profiles |
Each meter keeps data for its own window, set in Settings > Billing > Data retention, and the window sets its rate. See Data retention for how the windows work, What a source collects for the two source types, and the pricing page for current rates.
Cancellation
There's no self-serve cancellation flow in the product yet. Canceling reverts your subscription to the Free tier, your account and data stay intact, nothing is deleted.
Use cases
- Solo founder validating an idea. Free plan, 1 seat: full product access in basic mode, a monthly event allowance, and a weekly credit refresh, no credit card needed.
- Small team that hit the 3-seat Free cap. Move to Pro for unlimited seats, with 250 credits/seat/mo instead of the weekly bonus.
- Sending marketing email from your own domain. Requires Pro or higher, Free sends are Intempt-branded.
- Running a multivariate experiment or a holdout group. Requires Organization, these aren't available on Free or Pro.
- Team wants a shared credit pool with approval controls before a journey goes live. Organization adds approval workflows and shared libraries on top of the higher credit allocation.
- Enterprise buyer needs SSO, SCIM, and a signed DPA. Enterprise is still a fixed per-seat price, not a custom quote, plus dedicated support.
- Heavy AI usage that outpaces the plan's monthly credits. Add AI Pass (from 500 credits/mo) instead of upgrading seats, it stacks on any plan.
- One-off spike in AI usage this month only. Buy a one-time top-up pack rather than committing to a recurring AI Pass tier.
- High-volume sender past the free inclusion. Email, SMS, and push sends bill per 1,000 beyond the free monthly cap, at a rate that drops as volume increases.
- Downgrading after a busy quarter. The downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period, paid features stay active until then.
