In this lesson

  1. 1Run node --version and confirm Node 18 or newer.
  2. 2Install the CLI: npm install -g @intempt-technologies/cli
  3. 3Run intempt --version to confirm the binary is on PATH.
  4. 4In your project directory run intempt init, read the detected framework line, and choose AI scan, Guided or Empty.
  5. 5Review the proposed events: choose Accept, Toggle events to include or exclude each one, or Refine with AI.
  6. 6Run cat intempt.yaml to see the written plan.
  7. 7Run intempt init again with the file present and read the menu: Evaluate, Evolve, or Start fresh. Evolve offers AI scan, Describe and Manual.

Setup checklist

The 18 steps to wire Intempt into your stack, from installing the CLI to an agent that can work in your project. Tick them off as you go; your ticks stay in this browser.

You are done when

  • intempt --version prints 0.1.2 or newer and intempt init writes intempt.yaml.
  • intempt status and intempt generate run with no credentials; a content command fails without a key and succeeds with one.
  • tools/list count is read off the screen, then changes after setting INTEMPT_MCP_TOOLS and restarting.
  • One profile shows newly filled outside fields.
