Expectations at different levels

We evaluate people on three categories. These apply during hiring and throughout your time at Intempt. They connect directly to our 9 Rare Traits and Values.

The three categories

Responsibilities

This covers roughly 80% of what you do: tasks, skills, and knowledge specific to your role. Responsibilities look different for an engineer vs. a marketer vs. a designer. They're scoped to the job description.

Drive

Same for everyone, regardless of role. This is about grit, motivation, eagerness, proactiveness, and mentality. Do you push through when things get hard? Do you take initiative without being asked?

Fit

Also the same for everyone. Fit is about your DNA matching Intempt DNA. Do your values align with ours? Do you thrive in the kind of environment we build?

How growth works

Growth looks different per area and per trait. You can be level 3 on one point and level 1 on another. That's normal. Nobody is uniformly excellent at everything.

This framework helps with giving feedback, receiving feedback, and processing feedback. When someone tells you where you stand on a specific trait, you have a shared language for what "better" looks like. See our Learning & Development page for how growth plans work in practice.

We use the same categories when hiring. If you're interviewing at Intempt, this is what we're evaluating.
