Startup programs and partnerships
What Intempt offers early-stage teams and how VCs and accelerators put a portfolio on it.
What Intempt offers early-stage teams, and how VCs and accelerators put their portfolio on it. The mechanism is the Intempt Collective plus the Launch offer codes; the redemption rules are in campaigns-and-coupons.
What we offer early-stage teams today
We do not hand out a large credit wallet. Two things carry the early-stage motion:
- The free plan, no time limit. Every team can run Intempt free, with both retention meters on the free tier, no clock. That is the real on-ramp: a founder signs up and gets to first value in under 5 minutes with no consultant and no card.
- The Launch offers. A first-payment org gets a fixed credit off each monthly invoice for the offer period. There are three offers, by audience. Intempt does not publish the codes: they are distributed privately, and each audience gets one a different way.
- Any new team. The public launch offer, reached through an Intempt Collective partner's referral link, or by getting in touch (Slack, email, LinkedIn) and applying at /partner.
- VC portfolio companies. Their VC firm shares its own code with its portfolio.
- Accelerator cohorts. Their accelerator shares its own code with its cohort.
Live amounts, periods, and redeem-by dates are on /offers. Do not hardcode them here; they come from Stripe. Do not publish the code strings here either; they are issued privately.
The Intempt Collective portfolio track
VCs and accelerators join the Intempt Collective on the portfolio track. They do not earn cash. Their portfolio companies and cohorts get a launch code to redeem at checkout, which the firm shares privately:
- VC firms share their own portfolio code with their portfolio.
- Accelerators share their own cohort code with their cohort.
They apply at /partner as a portfolio partner. Each code is a shared partner code under the Coupon Terms: any eligible org that receives it may redeem it, one offer per org, first payment only. A firm can also point teams at the public launch offer. Intempt does not publish any of these codes; they are issued privately.
The other three Collective tracks (share = affiliate, build = recipe royalty, run = agency partner of record) are not startup programs. The affiliate track is covered in influencers.
Eligibility
- The org must be making its first payment to Intempt, on a new monthly subscription at Intempt checkout. Not for existing or former paying customers.
- One offer per org. No stacking with other discounts or negotiated pricing.
- Partner codes are distributed by the partner, so eligibility to receive one is the partner's call (their portfolio, their cohort). Eligibility to redeem is set by the Coupon Terms.
What this is not, and open decisions
Intempt does not currently run a dedicated startup grant (a large fixed credit wallet for ~12 months, auto-renewing for accelerator teams, with a merch kit). If we want one, these are the decisions to make before it ships, and none of them should be guessed:
- Credit amount and form. A Launch-offer-style invoice credit (what we have), or a Bonus-pool wallet grant (the credit wallet exists). Amount: unset.
- Eligibility bar. Company age, funding raised, company email domain, acquisition status. Unset.
- A dedicated verification path for accelerator or YC-style proof, beyond the partner sharing a code. Does not exist today.
- Expiry and what happens after. The wallet model already expires credits; an invoice-credit offer already ends at its period. Pick one and state it.
Until those are decided, the honest offer to an early-stage team is: the free plan with no time limit, plus a Launch offer code if they have one. Write the amounts nowhere but Stripe and /offers.
