Marketing channels
The long game Marketing runs off-surface: owned content, SEO and AEO, partnerships, social, and founder brand.
This is the Marketing channel index. Marketing runs the long game: the work that compounds slowly and does not ship a signup this week, but makes every other channel cheaper. Content, SEO and AEO, partnerships, social, and founder brand. The direct signup channels, PLG and the creator and UGC program and the paid media on it, are Product & Growth's. Enterprise is Sales.
How the three teams fit together is in how growth works. Every channel here still ends on the same free plan.
The Marketing channels
| Channel | What it is | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Owned content, SEO, AEO | Deep first-party content that ranks in search and gets cited by answer engines | owned-content-seo-aeo |
| Partnerships | Affiliates, agencies, and VC and accelerator portfolios on the Intempt Collective, plus startup programs | startup-programs |
| Social | The owned social channels: organic that people send to their friends | how we run marketing |
| Founder brand | A practitioner building in public, the highest-trust top of funnel | how we run marketing |
Why these sit with Marketing
- They are the long game. Content ranks months after it ships. A partner relationship pays off over a year. Founder brand compounds with every post. None of it is a this-week signup lever, and that is the point: it lowers the cost of everything Product & Growth runs.
- They are off-surface and relationship-led. Affiliates and agencies are recruited and managed. Social and founder brand are built audience by audience. This is not a conversion surface; it is demand and trust created before anyone is comparing tools.
- Partnerships means affiliate and agency, not creators. A creator who films a recipe for a paid ad is Product & Growth's UGC program. An affiliate who carries a referral link, an agency that resells Intempt to its clients, and a VC that puts a portfolio on the free plan are Marketing's partners. The two are split on purpose.
Who owns what
- Marketing owns content, SEO, AEO, social, founder brand, and partnerships (affiliates, agencies, startup programs). One number: qualified visitors and signups that land on a surface.
- Product & Growth owns PLG, the creator and UGC program, paid media, campaigns and coupons, and the loop to paid. See growth channels.
- Sales owns enterprise outbound. See how we run sales.
Marketing is graded weekly by the marketing health score.
