Community Manager

Run the Slack, Discord, YouTube, and Reddit communities as the product's feedback loop and its evangelism engine. The users who are already in, turned into the people who make the product better and recommend it unpaid.

Product & Community. Remote. Full-time. 2+ years. Listed, not hiring now (here in case the seat opens).

Team: Product & Community. We own everything permanent that compounds: the product, every surface, the community, and the design. This seat owns the community as a product function, measured on the feedback it moves into the roadmap and the advocates it grows.

About the role

You run the communities where our users already are: Slack, Discord, YouTube, and Reddit. This is not top-of-funnel social reach, which is Marketing & Growth's. This is the other end of the funnel, the people who signed up and stayed, and your job is to turn that room into two things the company cannot buy: a feedback loop and an evangelism engine.

The feedback half means you are the first to hear a bug, a confusion, or a feature nobody asked for until now, and you get it in front of the Product Owner while it is still fresh, with enough signal that product can act. You close the loop back to the person who raised it, so the community learns that saying something here changes the product.

The evangelism half means you grow the advocates: the users who answer each other's questions, post the win they had, and recommend Intempt without being paid to. You spot them, you give them a reason to stay loud, and you make the community a place a new user is glad they joined.

What you'll own

  • The communities end to end: Slack, Discord, YouTube, and Reddit, the health of each room, and the norms that keep them worth being in.
  • The feedback pipe: surfacing bugs, confusion, and feature requests to product with signal, and closing the loop back to the user.
  • The advocates: finding the users who already evangelize, growing them, and giving them the first look and the reason to keep going.
  • Answering and routing: the technical questions you can handle, and a clean handoff for the ones you cannot.
  • The numbers: active members, feedback moved into the roadmap, and advocates grown, each with a source and a date.

You are

  • 2+ years running a real community that users chose to stay in, ideally for a technical or product-led company.
  • A genuine operator in Slack, Discord, and Reddit, with a feel for what each room rewards and what it punishes.
  • Technical enough to answer a real product question and to tell a bug from a misunderstanding.
  • A writer with a voice people answer, and the judgment to know when to step in and when to let the room run.
  • Allergic to engagement for its own sake. A busy channel that changes nothing is not the goal.

Not a fit if

  • You think community is a growth channel to pump signups through. That is Marketing & Growth; this is the users already in.
  • You would let feedback pile up unread because answering felt more urgent than routing it.
  • You measure success in message volume, not feedback shipped and advocates grown.
