Pristine spam traps are addresses that were never used by a human and never opted in, published where
only a scraper or a list vendor would find them. Mail arriving at one is proof of how the address was
acquired, which is why the penalty is disproportionate to the single send. Purchased and scraped
lists are dense with them.
The asymmetry is what makes cleaning worth doing before the send rather than after: a single campaign
bouncing above ~5% can trigger filtering that degrades the next several campaigns, and reputation
recovery takes months, not days. So the cost of one careless list is paid slowly by every legitimate
send behind it, including transactional mail. Verify before the first send, re-verify periodically since
addresses decay as people change jobs, and where a row's provenance cannot be stated, treat the whole
source as suspect rather than the single row.
Before you write
Run the input list below before you write anything. If one of those inputs is missing, ask for
it and stop. Do not return a draft with a warning on it.
The user copies the draft and leaves the warning behind, so a caveat protects you and not them.
Ask at most THREE questions. Hard cap. Before anything becomes a question, get it yourself:
read .agents/product-context.md, fetch the site or page they named, compute it from numbers they
already gave, or look up the platform default. Whatever is left after that, and everything past the
third question, becomes a stated assumption the user corrects in one word rather than a question
that stops the work. Number them, and say what you will assume if one goes unanswered.
Check .agents/product-context.md first so you never ask for something already recorded there.
No context file, no problem. Build it, do not bounce the user. If .agents/product-context.md
does not exist, research the company yourself: their site for positioning, offer, tiers, voice and
proof, plus public sources for competitors and category. Ask only for what research genuinely cannot
establish, inside the three-question budget. Write what you learn to .agents/product-context.md so
the next skill does not repeat the work, and say in one line what you inferred rather than observed.
Never tell the user to go and run a different skill before you can start.
Write it the way you would say it. Read references/house-rules.md and apply it to everything
you return: answer first, ordinary words, short sentences, top three rather than all fourteen, no

How to run
Ask the user for:
- The list: a path to a CSV, a URL, or pasted rows. Ask for the path first and read the file.
Only ask for a paste if there is no file. Nobody pastes 200 rows into a chat window twice.
- Target titles: the roles that belong on this list
- Target company criteria: what makes a company in-bounds (industry, size, geography, whatever applies)
Process
Work through the list and flag every row into one of five checks:
- Duplicates: the same person or company appearing more than once, including different spellings, legal vs. trading names, and a personal email vs. a work email for the same person.
- Wrong title: not in the target title set. Group these together, and if any group is large enough to be its own sequence, say so.
- Likely gone: anyone whose listed role looks out of date. Flag it, do not remove it, and state exactly what made it look stale (an old title alongside a newer signal, a inactive-looking profile, etc.). These rows are kept, but flagged separately below, not returned as unremarkable clean rows.
- Wrong company: outside the target company criteria, with the specific reason.
- Broken data: malformed emails, missing required fields, obvious junk rows.
Output format
Return three things, in this order:
- The cleaned list - only rows that passed all five checks cleanly, with no flag attached.
- Flagged, kept rows - a separate table for every row caught by "Likely gone":
- Removed rows - a summary table for everything removed by the other four checks:

Rules
- Check the suppression list first, before any other check. Ask the user for their opt-out and
do-not-contact list and remove every match. This is the one removal that is not a judgment call and
not reversible by review: a contact who asked to stop being contacted and reappears in a cleaned
list gets emailed again, which is a compliance failure rather than a hygiene miss. If the user has
no suppression list, or cannot produce one, say the list is not safe to send and that building the
suppression list is step one. Do not clean around the gap.
- Check for existing customers and live opportunities. Cold-sequencing a current customer or a
contact on an open deal is worse than a wasted send: it undercuts the account team and confuses the
buyer. Ask for a customer list and an open-pipeline export, match against both, and route those rows
to their owner rather than into the sequence.
- Suppression matches go in their own table, separate from removals. A removal is a quality decision
the user may want to reverse on review; a suppression is not reviewable and must never be
reinstated.
- Never silently delete. Every single removal appears in the summary table with a reason.
- When unsure whether a row belongs, keep it and flag it in "Likely gone" rather than removing it. Reviewing ten flagged rows costs less than losing one good lead.
- Do not invent a reason for removal that isn't backed by something visible in the row's own data.
Quality check before returning
Scope of these checks. Two rules before you run them, because testing found both failures in
most skills in this pack:
- A check you cannot answer from the inputs you asked for is conditional, not skippable. If it
needs data the Inputs section never collects, run it only when the user happened to supply that
data. Otherwise say the check did not run and name the input it needed. Never skip it silently,
and never invent the data to make it pass. Inventing is the likelier failure and the worse one.
- Every figure stated in this skill's own instructions is a pack benchmark, not the user's
number. Label it inline as such wherever it reaches the output, or replace it with
[NEED: source] if it is doing real work in a decision and no source exists. House rules 4b and

Before returning the output, verify:

If any check fails, fix the summary before returning. Do not return a list where the math doesn't add up.

A flag is half a job. For every problem class you find, return the fix alongside the count, and say
which ones you can apply yourself:
