Salary policy

We pay a little better than someone with your same job in your geographic area. Adjusted for cost of living. The goal is simple: remove salary as something you think about. For how raises and promotions work, see Compensation. For variable pay, see Commission & Incentives.

How we set salaries

Annual review using online job sites and regional salary benchmarks. We combine cost-of-living data for each country we hire in. The regional score is weighted by seniority level so compensation stays fair across locations.

Your salary should reflect your role, your seniority, and where you live. If you're not sure how yours was calculated, ask. We'll walk you through it.

Learning organization

Intempt is a learning organization. We expect everyone to spend 3 to 5 hours per week on learning. This is not optional. Growth is part of the job. See our Learning & Development page for how this fits into your quarterly plan.

Expenses for learning can be reimbursed. Courses, books, conferences, certifications. If it makes you better at your work, we cover it. See Perks & Benefits for full details.

1-1 meeting questions

Your manager will check in on development regularly. These are the questions that guide the conversation. For more on how we evaluate growth, see Expectations at Different Levels.

  • Are you on track with your development?
  • Are you learning enough?
  • Are you working on what you want to get better at?
